The staff/service has deteriorated so much over the past 6-12 months which is a shame. What happened to all the friendly staff that were there?? All you pay for now is a massive attitude problem every visit and by the other posts I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Explore the many other places locally that provide better food, service and value for money.

Not sure about the bistro however the front bar can be extremely frustrating when it turns into a casino with poker tables clogging the place up. No thought about the locals at all. Recommend some of the bar staff could do with some training also. Gave this place a few chances. Won't be coming back. Could be a really nice establishment if managed better.

NO STARS! We ordered three meals on Saturday night (September 19, 2015). There wasn't much to choose from, and it was only as we were leaving that we noticed the specials board. The Pumpkin Ravioli was the only vegetarian meal (even though reading feedback from the hotel management from other reviews that this would be addressed) and was priced at $23.50. the chicken burger was $24.50. When the ravioli arrived, it seemed like an entree size. We called over the manager and asked if this was the entree size. He said it was the main size. I told him that for the money paid it was very small. His response was that no one had ever complained before (this tactic is used to make the customer feel guilty). I explained to him that only 10% of customers actually give direct feedback whilst the other 90% give feedback to friends and on social media without the supplier even knowing there was an issue. The only response was that our concerns would be passed on to the management. In total we counted only four pieces of ravioli. The chicken burger was just a burger with straw chips. The meat was dry and hard to chew. Even as our plates were being taken away none of the wait staff asked us how our meal was. We sat there for an additional 10 minutes before we left to pay. The manager who had been approached and talked to earlier, hovered nearby and only approached us after we paid. He said our concerns had been passed on. I told him that the chicken meat had been dry and certainly not of the standard that he purported the restaurant to be. I told him that I had eaten a better quality burger at the Lilydale hotel earlier that week for $10 less. I also asked why he waited until we had paid until he approached us. He said that he had only spoken to us 10 minutes earlier and therefore didn't have time to get back to us. In fact it had been 25 minutes since we had first spoken to him. There was no apology. No offer of compensation or no offer to take our contact details to have management approach us for further input. I have never met a more rude or disinterested staff. We had offered legitimate opportunities for improving their service and food, but it was dismissed.

I'm not one to complain but my experience yesterday at the Cafe/Bar section had to have been the worst one yet of many others received from this establishment. I mean how disappointing can your lunch get when BOTH food and service quality is below general standards, you could probably find a better overall experience at your local McDonalds! Firstly the waitresses took far too long to serve me and then forgot to rectify my order as I asked for dipping sauce in addition to go with my extremely plain Wagyu Burger with hand cut chips in which the sauce never came to me in the end. The young girl also didn't even check whether I'd enjoyed my meal or not as on this occasion I had to prompt her to explain why I had a half eaten Wagu Burgers left over (which costed $26 mind you) as it tasted like off meat...Upon notifying her I didn't received a simply apology, only that she'd inform their chef which is seriously doubtful... In all seriousness though, basic hospitality skills isn't asking for much and is general practice. By the end I was extremely unhappy and whilst paying for my meal, yet again I felt as if nobody cared. The gentleman behind the cash register was more interested in finalising payment rather then finding out whether their patrons genuinely enjoyed their stay. That alone says enough. All in all I wouldn't even recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever waste my money, more importantly my time, what a disappointment. #goodbyedoylesbridgehotel #neveragain

My Special Birthday celebration at Doyles on Friday the 14th November, 2014 was absolutely amazing. What a fabulous night we had - the food was glorious, the wine beautiful and the "SERVICE" impeccable. Thank you to Katie, Waiting Staff, Pedro & Narelle for making my 60th Birthday Event a most memorable occasion!

Although we couldn't book for Sunday lunch they were very accommodating with our party of 11. The service was very good with all meals coming out together. Everyone enjoyed their meals and they catered for the kids easily.
